More Wazzy, and BIKES!

Hey guys - Figured I needed to post some stuff of my bikes. And seeing as I've finished my wazdakka build, and he's ready for paint, You guys need a picture of that.

 Here he is balancing on his new base! This is a rough idea of what he's going to look like based up and everything.

AAAND his buddies on bikes! Got alot of nobz in there so i can run em as nob bikers if i want. Theres even a bike that has a Kombi-Flamer in there. :)

Gotta put my Boyz on the back burner, finishing up the bugs i'm painting for my buddy, He bought me an airbrush to pay for them. So i'll get those busted out this week, I'll take some pics tonight, of all i got to paint and where I'm at on all of them :)

Wazzdakka Gutsmek

So while I have been neglecting my blogging responsibilities I've been working hard on modeling and painting. I've recently been working on a Wazzdakka Gutsmek model, and I must say I've been enjoying every minute of it. I have somewhere around 20 hours tied up in construction so far, and most of that was planning. or sawing as I'm using a puter warboss body. I still need to find some wheels, I dont think i'm quite ready to attempt making some, But i'm thinking the wheels off of a battle wagon, or a Trukk should do nicely. and I have a few coming my way.

In this one you can see where i'm going to put some more Dakka, and I might try throwing a couple guns on both sides of the big kannon in the front.

Its going to be fun to paint, I'll be sure to post some more pictures of it painted.

Its been a while!

Hey guys - I know its been a while, please forgive me.

I've been working hard on my Orks, I've finished a couple more trukks, I also got some Kans for Christmas and they are just about done. I'll try and get some pictures of everything painted thus far.

Todays post is more about another project I've kinda started. My friend is playing now, and he's finally got his army selected. He's going with bugs, he has jokingly asked me a couple times to paint his stuff for him, and as I was helping him trim and assemble models so that we can play in this escalation league at our LGS I decided to paint one.

Water, fire, air and dirt Fucking magnets, how do they work?

I got my magnets last night - wasted no time diggin in and getting some on my trukk. Before I posted pictures yesterday I decided that I was going to magnetize the boarding planks, in case I ever went to a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get ) tournament and wanted to run boarding planks.

Grabbed my drill and started punchin holes. and glueing magnets in place.

There is alot more to placing magnets than I had initially thought, You want to keep the polarity on all spots the same, so i can swap planks and i dont have to think about which plank goes where, and what not. 

I also got a little over zealous when drilling, ended up having to clip tiny slices of plastic from my sprue's to fill the holes so the magnets were flush. That was actually a nightmare.

In the end everything turned out as I had hoped. I think the planks turned out great.

Holy shit its been a day or two

Hey guys - Sorry its been so long since I've posted, not alot happened on the painting front till thursday evening. I went and bought some white primer and some different colored washes to try something.

This to be specific,

I folowed the directions pretty close, changed a couple of colors ( my orks are purple and have orange.. )

This is what I came up with.

This last one is basically done, I finished him up, detailed the weapons a little. It looks good i think but dont think i'll continue painting them this way. too much mixing of paints, and less room for error.

Friday was a good day, I got my order in, here it is!

Its ok you can be a little Jealous - There 3 Trukks, 1 Battlewagon, 3 Boxes of Lootas, and a box of nobz

I got right to it on friday, after spending a little time with my little brother, and helping him with his halloween costume. and started my Trukk, I didn't take any pictures of it while I was painting, I wanted to get it done and make sure I liked it. Which I surely did.

There are a couple things left to do, I need to weather the bottom half of the model so that it looks like its been drivin thru the mud, I'm also going to magnetize the Boarding planks and put them on. I've not decided what i want to do about the wreckin ball. I'm going to paint it but i dont know if it wil lmake it to the model.

So with the finished trukk, this brings everything i have to put together, and paint to 20 Lootas, 5 Meks, 5 Nobz, 2 Trukks, 1 Battlewagon. Should be alot of fun though.

Brushes!!!

I got new brushes! and holy shit I didn't realize just the difference it would make, or how bad my brushes were. As I was painting with them last night, it occurred to me that I've had my previous brushes for 10+ years. 

I did get a little painting done last night, but i'm losing the drive to paint my boyz. I did get a little done tho 4 or 5 are nearly done. No need for pictures as you can see the boyz below.

I hope to be able to finish the boyz needed for my 1500 point army before my trukks and battle wagon get here so when I can build and paint those together.

Something tells me I'm not going to be getting any games in this weekend, its going to be a weekend filled with trimming mold lines, and assembling nobz\lootas\Trukks.

More to come tomorrow, Scary movies tonight to go along with my painting should be fun!

Boyz.... I hate them

So, brought my Lootas to work today, and i'm getting really excited to start painting them. I'm going to do Magnets on one of them to determine if its worth magnetizing them for the sake of burna boyz vs lootas.

I'll post progress pictures of it as I go along. Magnets should be here next weekend.

I am about half done with 36 slugga boyz. Its my goal to get them finished by Thursday, as I should get the rest of my order from Game Haven in then.

My next purchase ( after these are constructed ) are going to be Bikes. I've seen some pretty sick videos on coverting them to Jetbikes. I might try and make one as Wazzdakka cus he's freakin cool, and I think i'll have alot of fun building the model.

So i'll keep you guys posted as to what I decide to do.
